My father was in the rehab section from 11/18/17 to 12/29/17 after surgery. He was diagnosed with VRE after 2 weeks in Del Mar. The doctor never wanted to see him, he only read the nurse reports. Furniture and the facility are 30 years old and dilapidated. Food was horrible. The lazy CNA's treat the patients like cattle. They are extremely slow to respond when the patient needs them. They treat the patients like cattle. My father wound up in St. Rose Siena hospital on 12/29 with renal failure due to the VRE infection, and I had him moved to Nathan Adleson Hospice on 12/31 where he passed away on 1/12/18. I went to pick up his belongings at Del Mar on 12/31. His name was off the door and his stuff packed up and stacked on the dresser. No one ever called from Del Mar to let us know to get his stuff. No one called to offer sympathy for his condition. It's a very cold, uncaring facility.
