*Update follows review, see below* I have reviewed another HD dealership as the friendliest one I have ever been to. This one is the exact opposite. I stopped by Henderson Harley Davidson today to buy a couple poker chips. For those that are not familiar with Harley or biker culture, every Harley Davidson dealership carries several items stamped with the HD logo and the name of that particular dealership. The best known of these items are the ubiquitous Harley T-shirt but they also carry poker chips stamped with the dealership logo that are collected by HD fans to commemorate each location they visit. Usually these are $1-2 apiece. As I have been collecting these chips for several years and my fiancée has started collecting them too as we have traveled around the country, and I had never been to this one before, I decided to swing in and grab a couple chips. Total cost $4.22. So far so good. As I only had $4 cash in my pocket I needed to use my debit card. Now we have a problem. For this $4.22 purchase they want my full name, home address, email, and phone number to "prevent fraud". Now I'm not buying a bike. Or several hundred dollars in parts. Or even a $40 t-shirt. I'm trying to buy two $2 poker chips. And I have state issued ID that matches my card. A card that actually says "see ID" on the signature line because I used to work for a company where my primary job was financial crime prevention. This is clearly a BS policy to force the harvest of customer data and I told the staff there that. They decided to stick to their guns and have a snotty attitude about it, so I told them that I wouldn't be giving them my business and left. I drive by this dealership a couple times a month. I could easily have spent a lot of money there. But until they change this ridiculous policy they will not be getting one thin dime of my money. *Update: Following my visit I contacted the dealership by phone and after informing the receptionist that I was a dissatisfied customer looking to speak to a manager was directed to a gentleman named Andy who told me that he was the general manager. He told me that he would be discussing this issue with his retail manager and asked me to give them another chance next time I'm in town. I will be in the Las Vegas area in the next week or two and I will make a point of visiting Henderson HD and will update this review with what I find on my return visit.
