  • It's amazing the difference between this ABC store in a crappy neighborhood and the ABC store in, say, Myers Park. The worn carpet and peeling paint really gives you a feeling for how the State of North Carolina allocates it funds. The selection of liquor is fine (although I've had to travel farther afield for a top shelf gin) but the place is basically decrepit. Apparently there are plans for renovation, but they don't seem to be in any rush.
