Last Monday late afternoon, my Umbrella Cockatoo Kylie suffered an injury to his claw. I couldn't get the to stop. Since this location is only blocks and since it was close to 5pm, I thought this would be the first place to try.
I walk in with my Little Man Kylie and a bloody towel and was informed that their bird doctor wasn't in. I asked if someone could please check his claw to stop the bleeding and again told that a bird doctor wasn't available. I was in a panic and my bird was distraught and a bit aggressive. I can understand why they wouldn't see Kylie. What I can't get over is that the receptionist and coworker didn't even bother to help me with suggestions of other vet places to try.
I did take Kylie to another location -he later died. Anyway, if ever someone walks in and for some reason your staff can't help, please assist with any info rather than having that person leave scared with their little loved ones in pain or injured. I will never step foot in this Veterinarian's office again.
