Good gluten free cupcakes are hard to find. They're usually dry, crumbly, heavy, or something that just isn't good. I usually end up just making my own.
However, my friend introduced me to Prairie Girl cupcakes recently and omg are they ever good!
We had an assortment for a group of 8 so we all shared bits and pieces. I had chocolate with a vanilla bean icing (I think it was one of the weekly special treats) and I nearly inhaled it. SO good!! I will however concur with what most other reviewers are saying - there is A LOT of icing. Everyone scraped off at least half because there was just too much. I'm a huge icing lover and even I had to lose about 1/3 of it. The cake to icing ratio is just too big of a gap.
Regardless, the cupcakes were delish. Couldn't even tell they were gluten free (or so my non gfree friends said - I can't tell the difference anymore).
Go, scrape off half the icing and have a cupcake! You won't regret it!
