The Good The Bad & The Ugly...
I was very excited about staying at the resort initially but there were a few things that make this place not worth us recommending or to returning again.
Lets start with the Good, The overall the resort is dated but very well kept and the grounds looked very nicely manicured. The room was nice with a great view of the mountain's and a lovely chair for 2 on the deck. I would say the high light of the room is the bathroom, very nice the shower was excellent. Housekeeping did a good job no complaints there at all.
The on site food in the restaurants was pretty good and servers tried hard. Special shout out the nice Australian bartender he did a great job was friendly and pleasant. Also the fitness center was decent and my wife very much enjoyed her experience at the spa she did a massage and body scrub.
The Bad, Unfortunately the Bad started for me the moment I pulled up in front of the resort. I arrived in an Uber from another business hotel thinking I would receive a great level of service from the start of my trip here at The Omni. Well Apparently this did not happen. There were 2 young men at the shade umbrellas that cars pull up for the drop off or valet. These 2 literally watched me pull 3 pieces of luggage out of the Uber. Once I had the luggage out of the car they offered assistance. I couldn't hold my tongue and asked them you two young men look strong why didnt you help me with my luggage?? They laughed as I think they thought I was joking and said I looked stronger then they were.
OMNI MANAGEMENT for the sake of your clients initial experience please address this with your valet/Bellmen. The one senior of the two bellman who should know better and show the younger of the two how to treat clients when the arrive was named Chris I was sure to get his name from his name tag. Not the way to start my experience at your resort.
The Ugly, we selected this resort because of the adult only pool area. The adults only pool area was lovely until the nice adult vibe completely changed for the worse. Groups of parents with kids started entering the adults only area and next thing I know the pool is crawling with kids. WTH?? I asked one of the folks that worked in the pool area what the heck was going on and was I at the wrong pool? They let me know apparently there was a really bad incident at the family/kids pool and the resort had to temporary close the kids pool to address the issue.
There must have been about 30+ adults like us wondering why the nice calmness of the adult pool had been invaded by screaming splashing kids?? Note this was mid day on a Saturday. Unfortunately this was the last straw for us. Amazing to me that Omni Management would choose to disrupt 30+ adults time at an adult only pool to have it invaded by kids?
Unfortunate but we will not be returning to this resort.
