| - Some nice items and some things needing improvement. My husband and I ate here. The burger was ok, the turkey burger however was one of the best flavored I've had in town. The regular fries were pretty good, the sweet potato fries were not as tasty and were coated in a sugary seasoning. As I'm a lover of sweet potato fries and order them often at resturants when available, I've had much better elsewhere. The pickles, unfortunately, were soggy...I mentioned it to the owner (along with complements of items we liked), however the response was somewhat abrasive. He conveyed that it wasn't a 'store bought like vlasic' as he assumed I was used to, but a 'family recipe'. Little did he know that I grew up with my family members making home made pickles, that I Love pickles and specifically look for home made ones in little shops as we frequently travel, and frequent several restaurants in town that make their own as well. Pickles that are home made can still have a crunch, some of it depends on the type of cucumber chosen. That being said, it was more of the tone of the response that was off putting. We said we'd come back to give it another try, as we like supporting small businesses and local restuarants. The second time, I had larger group and we were going to go. We arrived at restuarant and saw sign out front advertising 'Trump Burger'. We frequent small businesses many of various political views, however we value them keeping that out of their business and making their establishment welcome to all. We had a diverse group that did not feel comfortable patronizing the establishment. We went to another local owned place and had great food and service.
