| - I would give this place a negative star if I could. I am so upset at the lack of care this place has for returning calls after being STOOD UP for a massage. My fiance set up an appointment with me for a 90 min ashiatsu massage with a therapist by the name of Vanessa. He made the appointment on Saturday for the next day, Sunday November 24th, since Sundays are by appointment. I was so excited and desperately in need of a good massage!! I'm a therapist myself so I was in a lot of pain and needed the bodywork. I finally took time out for myself to get one. I was also excited to experience a new modality!
I showed up 15 min early (as stated on the website) for my 2:30 appointment only to see no one was there at all. I called twice and left 2 messages. I waited closer to my actual massage time hoping that she would show up (but as a therapist, she should've been getting ready before that, no?). I was livid!! So unprofessional!! And good luck trying to find a good therapist available last minute on a Sunday afternoon! NOT SO EASY!! I was near tears in the parking lot and realized...she just wasn't going to show up.
Days went by and I received no return phone call explaining if there was an emergency, or why no one bothered to show up or call me about why no one was there at my appointed time. My fiance left several messages for Dr. Wendy, only to have the phone answered by rude staff who either never gave her any of the messages, or Dr. Wendy chose not to return his calls. Apparently she's only there when she has clients, yet she own the place. Seems like she's never there...he called numerous times for two weeks.
It is unfortunate that I never got a chance to experience this business or the modality. However, in my disappointment in AZRC, I was able to come across some other local businesses and bodyworkers that also provide ashiatsu that have received much better reviews anyway. So, at least there's some sort of a silver lining in all of this.
