This Fry's is my temple. I love walking in and being greeted by the lovely sight of stacks on stacks on stacks of green apples. Then, I hit the veggies and, unlike some other grocery stores in the valley that start with safe and end with way, this Fry's ALWAYS has arugula? because they know that I? need arugula and they care about what I need rather than putting me into an emotional blender. After the veggies, I saunter to the deli counter where the sweetest Swedish woman works. Full of joy and hospitality, she always tells me something new that I never knew about deli meat, always provides a laugh, and is just genuinely a great person. Another highlight of the store is that they always have plenty of Chompie's bread, they have a pretty wide selection of tea, and they generally play pretty great music on the sound system. Go listen to Those Were the Days by Mary Hopkin. I had never heard this song but it came on in Fry's when I was in the freezer aisle. It was a really life-affirming experience.
