| - I have to agree with the other reviews that this Tide has the worst customer service. I am happy to share my experience, and hope things change for future Patrons.
I travel between Chicago and Phoenix quite often, and use Tide in both Naperville and Ahwatukee. Recently moved to Glendale, AZ and have a new office in Old Town Scottsdale. I was so excited to see a Tide Dry Cleaners a few miles north of work.
Monday 11/21 - I stop by with a few shirts and suits that need cleaning before I head back to Chicago on Wednesday night. The employee asks the usual "just dropping off", to which I respond yes, but I don't think I'll be in your system, as I've never been to this location. I give him my tide bag full of clothes and ask him to simply copy the customer info label inside. Pretty smooth process. He ends with saying everything will be ready after 5pm tomorrow. (This is normal turn around for Tide). I ask if I can do after hours pick up from their automated machine if needed since I might be staying late at work. He said they close at 7. Great! No need to worry.
Tuesday 11/22 6pm - I return, and the employee asks the usual 'picking up', to which I answer yes. Give her my info, and she says. Looks like your items are not here yet. I respond with a shocked look on my face and say 'I don't understand what you mean, I brought them here yesterday' She proceeds to tell me that this location doesn't do the cleaning, and garments are sent to another facility farther north. She ends with 'and the drivers are done for the day'
I told her I live 45 minutes away, and that I would be flying to Chicago tomorrow. To which she said 'sorry'... while looking down, and continuing to work. She then looks up and says I can have them bring them tomorrow.
Needless to say, I left and spent almost 1.5 hr to simply head back to this location and pick up my garments. When I gave the employee my name, I thought, maybe, just maybe someone would have noted my experience on the receipt from the night before. I was hoping for a sincere apology. Nothing.
I left feeling betrayed by my favorite Dry Cleaners.
Now, this should not reflect the brand, as I have never had a bad experience at any other Tide facility. It's just a shame that standards and expectations vary from location to location when they all carry the same name.
I'd also like to send a shout out to the Ahwatukee and Naperville locations for always giving excellent customer service!
