Rob the salesman gets the star because he is only thing ok about this place.
Came to Pittsburgh East Nissan about a month ago with the intentions of buying a specific certified pre-owned car that they had - a 2015 Murano with 13k miles on it. (I had previously bought a car here in 2012 and was happy with that experience). I had emailed with the salesman Rob about the car before coming in. Got in and started discussions about trading in my 2009 Murano and about the purchase price. The car buying process moved to the "let me call in my manager" phase, which is expected. The sales manager (Greg? Gary? Can't exactly remember his name.) came into Rob's office and started explaining all the reasons why they wouldn't budge even $100 on the sticker price of a $32,500 car and I was paying cash. He went into an elaborate explanation of market pricing. At the end of it (I'm a financial professional and so is my husband so we aren't dumb) we said we understood what he was saying but we expect to negotiate a little on price. He asked us "do you think what I'm telling you is BS?" (Referring to his explanation of market pricing). We said no, but if he's not willing to move even a little on price (this isn't CarMax), it seems like he doesn't want to sell us a car. His reply was that it sounds like we don't want to buy his car. It was all very disrespectful and escalated to a loud-ish volume. Very unexpected. We chose to still buy the car because that's what we came there to do, but we didn't deal with the sales manager after that and were very disappointed in the customer service. We ended up paying sticker price for the certified used car and they threw in a free car detailing to be used within a month of purchase. I'm sitting and writing this review as I'm picking up my car from being detailed. After a month of ownership, it was still preeeetttty clean. So I figured it would be super clean when I picked it up. I almost left angry about the lack of attention to detail (on the detail job!) but I went back and pointed out the smudgy control screen, dust on the dashboard, and gunk next to the cup holder. They had he car for 12 hours and it looks like all they did was vacuum the carpets. I live in Ross so I'm glad I didn't leave without asking for them to actually clean it because I probably spent more time getting the car there than they spent detailing it. Note: The people working the customer service desk of the detail shop were very understanding and respectful.
I don't care what cars they have in inventory next time I'm in the market to buy a car. Rob was nice but I will not be back.
