| - I moved here from Ohio two years ago, and as soon as I saw the Kroeger brand peanut butter granola bars (which have fewer calories and taste better than Chewy) at Fry's, I knew I'd found a little bit of home away from home. They even told me I could use my old Kroeger VIP card from Columbus!
After living right around the corner for the past two years, I swear the Fry's workers started to feel like family. The same people have been working there forever. Every time I went to the deli counter I saw the same Russian woman who would give me half a pound of Private Selection Oven Roasted Turkey (same as Kroeger's!) even though I said a quarter of a pound. Literally every time, we had the same exchange of "quarter pound please" "half a pound?" "Nope, just a quarter" "Half a pound, here ya go." Oh well, she's still good people.
I am eternally grateful to this particular Fry's for being such a HUGE help to me when I moved last month. I went in on a Sunday asking for boxes, and they said they'd ask their night crew to save them for me and to just come back in the morning. I could not believe my eyes the next morning -- they must have had about 30 boxes piled up in the front for me in all different sizes. Thanks to Fry's I did not have to scrounge for boxes or worse, buy them.
If simply carrying the Kroeger brand and giving me moving boxes doesn't justify 5 stars, the selection and value are also excellent, and as someone else mentioned, it never gets too crowded. So even if you're not from Ohio or in need of boxes, this is still a solid grocery store that won't let you down.
