  • After 4 installation attempts at home in Las Vegas, we finally have an updated Contour 2 DVR, high speed internet, & long distance phones. First installer didn't have a clue so we sent him packing. 2nd appointment was a no show & no call. 3rd appointment we finally got the internet & phone installed. And, 4th, the Contour 2 DVR. Cox internet works well in Las Vegas where we live. But, Cox promises wifi hotspots all over the country. DO NOT BELIEVE THEM!! We have tried repeatedly to use the wifi in Marina Del Rey CA - Cox is teamed with other providers - called "cablewifi" - and it doesn't work 95% of the time. We have been able to use the wifi mid day a few times - but nights & weekends - not a chance!! The cablewifi shows up on "connect" list - & sometimes shows it is connected - but almost NEVER to the internet. DO NOT PAY THEIR HIGH PRICES IF YOU HAVE OPTIONS & DO NOT TRUST THE PROMOS ON THE WIFI HOTSPOTS!!
