Mitchell's is one of the local chains, and the ice cream is generally pretty good - they don't have adventurous flavors like Ben and Jerry's or Rosati's, nor do they have truly "gourmet" ice cream, but it's still a cut above Baskin-Robbins or your generic supermarket brand.
What they have is thick with cream, dense, and tasty. Their prices are a little on the spendy side for ice cream, but the good news is that portions are generous - one sundae will feed two average-sized people (or one porker and a skinny wench) with no problems, and you get a lot of gooey stuff on top of it.
People wait in line for this during the summer. They are correct to do so. If you like ice cream, this is one of the local chains you have to hit to sample the wealth of great ice cream chains in the Cleveland area; we don't have good beer, but man, diabetics can have a fatal fiesta.
