I stopped in to Games Workshop today during my lunch break because I was unaware of what was inside.
A few weeks ago I noticed this store next to Chipotle. However, they're closed on Monday and Tuesday. I was going to stop in very quickly and then grab Chipotle next door. I ended up spending my entire lunch break here.
Bill was the Games Workshop employee who assisted me. He showed me the products and gave me a basic run-down of how the game is played. He was extremely friendly and inviting. Bill also showed me the inside of the kits you can purchase as well as some painting techniques that he uses to get his models painted just right. I was surprised how amazing you can get some plastic models to look once you know the proper painting techniques. I am far from an expert (I have never build small models like this) but I can assure you that Bill knows his stuff. Just take a look at the models in the store that he has painted!! Bill also took the time to play a short round with me so that I could get a better feel for how the game plays.
This store also has battle areas so you can setup games with friends, family, or random people. They have regular 'play times' as well as some days set aside specifically for newbies like myself.
While I did not pick up a kit today, if I do decide to do so, I will be glad to purchase one from Bill.
