rev:text	I really enjoy Penzey's. Although it is a chain, it has the feel of a local shop. The location in The Strip is spacious. Even on a busy Saturday or Sunday, it doesn't feel over-crowded. There is still ample room to browse and walk around. Things are pretty easy to locate. Spices are A-Z, herbs grouped together, baking items, salt, pepper and so on... My favorite items are the parsley, Italian herbs and the salt-free options. It's hard to find really good spice mixes in regular stores without salt. Arizona Dreaming is my personal favorite. I also like their gift box options. They offer a wide variety in size and price. As far as price goes, I don't think they're are out of line at all. There is a big difference in freshness and flavor so for me, personally it's worth it. Plus, they do offer items in bags, rather than the glass bottles which would be a better value. Once I buy the initial bottle, I buy the bulk bags and just refill. For customer service, I'd say it's pretty much self serve. I usually know what I want and where it is and the few times I've had to ask they've been more than happy to help. but for the most part it's typically just the employees behind the counter ringing people out & it's hit or miss in regards to friendliness there. Aside from this particular location, what I also enjoy about Penzey's is their website. Over the holidays I ordered a few gift boxes. They had some good deals going on, plus free shipping and the items arrived by Christmas (even though I waited until the last minute to do my Christmas shopping). Also, if you're in the store, sign up for their mailing list. You'll get a nice catalog with recipes and usually a coupon for a free item.
