  • Went in with a picture of a style I wanted done when I booked the appointment and was told it would be no problem to do, so I made an appointment for a later time. When I went to get the style done, it was for a ball, I brought in the same picture and was told it could be done. Then the stylist said she was experimenting with a different technique to give me what I wanted. Then proceeded to tell me normally my hair would have needed to be went in order for it to set properly (i was getting a loose finger wave, and I have a lot of hair). After curling and pinning, she took everything out, and what did I have? Just curly hair, not wavy and she told me again because I would have needed to have wet hair, and I asked why I wasn't told that when I made the appointment she told me its because I would have needed to speak directly to a stylist, so that they are prepared to do the proper process. So apparently me walking in there before hand wasn't good enough. I also asked her to put some volume in the style so it wasn't flat against my head with a load of curls at the bottom, and it was barely any kind of lift to it. The style I did end up with was pretty, and I got many compliments, but it was nothing like what I asked for, and the end result was a style I could have done myself and avoided paying for something I didn't want. My friend also came with me and she had a similar experience with another stylist, she showed them a photo of an up-do, and specifically asked her to "make it big" and she basically ended up with a style fit for a bridesmaid. We were going to a 1920's themed ball, not a wedding. Needless to say we both had to basically redo our hair after we left the salon. It was really disappointing because we were treating our selves to a day of pampering, neither one of us has ever gotten our hair done for this event for the past 2 years and always did it ourselves because we don't have a whole lot of money to be spending on hair styling. If you are going in for a blow out, you probably wont have any issues, those clients I watched getting their hair done looked amazing, but all in all I will not be returning to this salon simply because of the extreme disappointment I felt when I left.
