I was recently in Toronto for business and was stuck in the airport for a couple of hours before my flight. It was dinner time and I needed some grub!
Aside from Starbucks and a few random food places in Terminal 1, Molson's is literally the only place in Terminal 1 that looked decent (plus they have adult beverges).
it was about 6PM and there was a short line for a seat. With a lot of people traveling on business, this place was quite single diner friendly. Space is a limited inside; so, if you have a few carry on's, be mindful of where you place your stuff.
I was quickly seated (after 5 minutes standing in line) right by the bar, behind a row of high tops. The menu was pretty straight forward and I ordered up a tall Molson's and the All Canadian Burger (with classic fries).
The turn around on food wasn't bad, about a 15 minute wait; which I suspect wasn't bad since there was now a line of about 15 people waiting to grab a bite or a beer before their flight out.
The burger showed up and was topped with peameal bacon, topped with onion and tomato, put on top of a bed of shredded lettuce. The burger was fine and had a smokey sauce laced on the bottom bun. The fries were simply fries :-)
My meal set me back $30CA (with tip) and the service was alright (could've been quicker!).
If all that stands between you and getting aboard your flight home, then stop at Molson's for a half way decent burger and a tall glass of the good stuff.
