| - After living in Mount Washington for two and a half years, I finally decided to take a trip to La Tavola with my wife and my sister in law. We all love Italian, so initially, I was excited to be visiting for the first time. When we arrived at 5pm on Friday evening, the hostess said that it was impossible to get a seat on the weekends and that we should've made a reservation if we wanted to eat there on a Friday. I apologized for not doing so, and she said that she would see what she could do for us. She looked at a piece of paper and decided to find us a spot. Please keep in mind, however, that the restaurant had not a soul in it. As a side note, there were still only three people in the restaurant when we left at 6pm, so I'm not sure why the runaround was necessary. Any-who, my sister in law and myself ordered the chicken parmigiana. The chicken was so-so, and a bit over fried, but it's hard to mess up fried chicken. However, the spaghetti sauce had little to no taste, very bland, and it had chunky tomatoes in it, which I'm not a fan of. I could've looked past the chunky tomatoes if the sauce had any flavor to it. I ended up spending about $90, and left very disappointed and underwhelmed. The server also was hard to find being they we were the only party in the store. I don't think I'll be going back again, and I can't recommend this establishment to anyone else.
