  • Totally Vegas style. Visually pleasing. Add on top of that, our sushi was inexplicably fantastic, for an inland restaurant, that means to me, air freight fish. It was confirmed by our waiter. Although, honestly, everyone knows that whatever you ask a person in Vegas, you're going to be kowtowed to anyway. "Is this Chilean Sea Bass flown in today?" Why of course sir!. "Can I get Himalayan Pink Salt with that?" Right away, sir. Everything in Vegas should be taken with that same grain of pink salt. That said, we sort of ended up at Shibuya. We couldn't think of a better option which, come to think of it means we were not in the mood to be driving! There are better less expensive options a plenty off strip, believe me, we've been to fantastic places... some hole in the wall, others, like Roy's which are suburban "nice." Maybe Roy's is a good start to compare Shibuya. Presentation is similar, with a more flamboyant nod to Shibuya. Prices are similar. But more importantly, taste, goes sadly to Roy's. I say sadly, because we ended up at Shibuya simply because we were in no shape to drive over to Roy's! Not what you think, we imbibed nothing, but were just tired of walking. Make sure to check into an MGM property and ask if you can use your various dining credits at sister properties. Most of the time, they'll say, only at the property you're staying, but trust me, if you are nice about it, and ask the right people, I can't divulge who, you're just going to have to figure it out for yourselves; you can pick and choose where you're going to dine for the evening on the house... or at least at a better rate. Thus we liked Shibuya, it was convenient, not too bad, rather tasty and fresh for our seafood cravings. Tuna, Salmon and tempura were our triumvirate taste leaders, along with a wash down of tea. A very simple evening that went well. Servers were adequately obliging in that aforementioned Vegas manner... and the only real downside was the we could have gone to Roy's. ENJOY!
