It seems the Loblaws company thinks west Mississauga is the land of No Frills. Within a 5 minute drive, you can find yourself 5 No Frills... and those are the ones I know about! They're all similar with it's obnoxious Big Bird yellow signage and lack of decor. No Frills is aptly named.
This one in particular is marginally better than the some of other ones in the West end. It's clean and has wide open areas. The vegetables and fruits are not stellar but they're not rotting or ridiculously under ripe. I do find things here slightly under ripe and smaller when compared to mid range stores. I came here when mangos went on sale. Most mangos are at least bigger than my palm and a pale yellow to moderate orange. These ones were the size of my palm and distinctly green. Well, you can't argue with the quality too much when they're almost 30% cheaper than the mid range stores.
This place carries the President Choice and No Name brands at a cheaper cost than Loblaws and Superstore. It's a good store to stock up on those basics. They also have the policy where they will price match and often at less hassle than Superstore.
One thing that is a bit annoying is the due dates on perishable items. Sometimes I see the end date is only 4 to 6 days away where if you go to Superstore, they're at least 3 weeks out.
It's an ok store for basics and the big discount on non-perishable items. Save yourself the headaches of buying veggies or fruits though. It's not that great.
