| - Seriously, I have to agree with Kris and say that I don't know about people saying that their cupcakes are awful or even average...I'm curious to know where these people are getting their cupcake fix, because if it's better than The Social Cupcake, I'll be stunned.
The cupcakes are always moist, fluffy, buttery and oh-so delish. I really don't even consider myself much of a dessert person but these are totally irresistible. Also did I mention that they have something like a hundred different flavours (or so it seems) and they're all amazing? I'm partial to Red Velvet or the plain old vanilla. After all these cupcakes are so good that they don't need much dressing up...it's just icing on the cupcake (as it were). The presentation is lovely though, from the cupcakes themselves down to the very lovely packaging. Grab an assortment of minis (they have those, too!) and bring 'em over to a dinner party for desert and you're guaranteed to impress. They're far better than some boring old store bought cake!
Speaking of cake actually, my fiancée and I loved their cupcakes so much that we've decided to go with them as our wedding cake supplier! Obviously we haven't tried it yet (the wedding is a few months off) but if it's anything like their cupcakes, we'll have some very satisfied wedding guests. Obviously it's all about the open bar but if we can rock the cake as well, bonus! And I'm not going to say how much it was (partly because I don't remember) but the price was shockingly reasonable. Definitely consider them if you're getting married anytime soon.
Final pro-cupcake tip: Like them on facebook. They post their weekly flavours on there and like I said previously they have a whole slew of flavours, some of which are the everyday cupcakes and some that are only featured in their rotation. This way you can plan ahead and even call them to reserve your cupcake(s) of choice! The folks there are super-friendly and happy to put your order together ahead of time. It's rare that I'll give a dessert place a five star rating but they've earned it, big time.
