Karina and her husband are gone :-( change of ownership and you can tell. I've gone here a few times and I will say the last two times were less than stellar. I can look past the pieced-together lounge, bathroom and hallways....if I know I'm going to get great services at a good price. The second to last time I went, my massage therapist only worked on me for 45 minutes (it is supposed to be an hour). She was not consistent with her techniques and it felt like she was rushing through it. I had a facial that same day and the esthetician did a wonderful job. The most recent time I went it was the opposite situation. My massage therapist was outstanding but the esthetician was lacking in relaxation techniques. It was uncomfortable and weird. That is the first time I've ever actually even said anything to the esthetician about the awkwardness of it all. She basically wanted to leave a mask on me for 10 minutes while she just sat there doing who know what. I asked her, so..."I have to sit her for 10 minutes?" Then she turned it around on me and made it seem like I had a problem getting relaxed. I was cold (no table heater like there was before) and she didn't take that time to give me a massage on my shoulders, neck or scalp like Karina and the old estheticians used to. For what it's worth, I guess you get what you pay for here.
