I'm new to the Episcopal teachings but have really enjoyed my time here. I attended many different churches in the valley and then found St. Matthew's about 1 year ago and felt at home instantly. The church is friendly, welcoming and respectful of all view points on religion and God (yes, ALL view points!). The Episcopal faith encourages people to ask questions and to seek the truth that fits you best. They are not a church that wants people to 'conform' to strict beliefs. I have found the congregation to be very diverse and found everyone to be very respectful of one another. In other churches that I've attended, I felt that people wanted to 'save me' or 'convert me' from my liberal viewpoints. That's not the case with St. Matthew's. If you'd like to attend Christian services but do not want to be shunned or judged, try St. Matthew's.
Also, I frequently use the nursery/child care services provided and my children look forward to going.
