I live on Terry Place, which is one of the streets that runs adjacent to the park. So I come here frequently.
I have so many memories here from when I was younger- going to Jazz in the Park, a local concert that takes place down by the shore, playing on the playground, wandering through the arboretum by the Boathouse, and going on our canoe with my dad. This park is really special to me, and I would go to say that I think this is one of the best parks in Madison.
The shoreline was recently redone with rocks and a new dock, so it looks very nice.
My only gripe here is that the grass on the field is often long and untrimmed.
This is undoubtedly one of the best places, in Madison, and I would almost go to say that you couldn't call yourself a true Madisonian if you haven't been here.
