| - I'm a little torn on this review because, on the one hand my delivery service was fraught with damage to my new appliances (refrigerator + front-load washer and dryer) and to my brand home, but on the other hand they did do everything they could to make it right after the fact even if the execution wasn't particularly smooth. Three stars might be a little generous, but anytime someone genuinely tries to make sincere amends for a wrongdoing, however extensive the issue(s) were, deserves some compassion credit. I just hope they took the learnings and applied them to all subsequent customers.
In my appliances purchase case, I am in a 2nd level condo unit and the two men who brought my fridge up the stairs were clearly struggling. I was biting my nails the whole time. The next thing I knew they reached the landing with 2 steps to go and the fridge tipped into my wall leaving significant drywall damage, as well as damage to the metal corner. Once they reached the top it became clear that my brand new special order counter depth stainless steel fridge had also been dented up on all 3 doors. They proceeded with installing it apologized, and said they'd order new doors asap.
Next came my washer and dryer. They had to take the door off my laundry room (a fairly small closet) to get them in. There was more struggle with the washer coming up the stairs...apparently the front-load units are quite heavy. They got the appliances in but then when they plugged them in the washer wouldn't start. They checked the outlet and everything was fine. So in addition to having a dented fridge, I also had an inoperative washer. The next day they brought a new unit and in the process of installing that they dented the side of the pedestal and cracked off one of the support brackets. They offered to discount the washer, dryer and pedestals for all the inconvenience and I accepted. It took a few follow-ups but they eventually came thru on this.
Meanwhile I waited for the doors to come in for my new fridge and they sent a drywall guy to fix all the damage they had done. There was some kind of miscommunication with an electronics company they work with who was supposed to order and replace the doors. It turned out they had to order a whole new fridge and the electronics company couldn't do it. It took about a month or so to get it in, and when the fridge arrived a Lowes employee took the doors off the new one to replace the dented doors on mine. That went pretty smoothly and finally I had my new fridge.
