Can I give 10 stars???
Hubby and I decided to try this place on a Living Social Fixed price menu. We started with drinks. I always like to try a restaurant's signature drink, so asked our waiter, Gino, about the drink menu, After a few questions I ordered a ginger beer concoction that was wonderfully refreshing and nicely presented.
I had the six oyster appetizer. They were fresh, utterly cold in a big bowl of ice, and served with three sauces, as well as lemon and Tabasco, on the side. Wonderful. Hubby had the beef appetizer and loved it as well.
The wedge salad with blue cheese was great too. No iceberg here - they used a butter or bibb head to make the wedge.
But the entrees were the star. We both ordered the lobster ravioli. I had the steamed rapini on the side, while hubby had the gnocchi. The gnocchi were as light as little pillows and the sauce was superb. The lobster dish was equally amazing. Lot's of lobster and a great creamy sauce.
I really appreciated that none of the food was too salty. So many times food is ruined by the overuse of salt.
We followed up with a light tiramisu and espresso, both of which were great.
Gino was so attentive - the perfect mix of always being there and yet not being annoying. We wanted for nothing. The rest of the staff was top notch as well.
We both left the restaurant with the thought that the meal and the experience were an absolute 10. I can't think of even one negative on this meal. We definitely can't wait to be back.
