| - Literally feels like half of a school.
Pretty shady experience for a community college. Don't take this school too seriously. Went here for one term, and would never do it again.
I was supposed to get my ID 6 weeks after I registered (I KNOW 6 f@#$ing weeks!). However I never received it! I went to the school to try to get one, they say that they only mail them, they don't issue them at the school like every other college.
Also after taking WEEKS to process and collect information from me, they made a mistake with my application! So I had to forge through my personal documents to resubmit information. Not happy about that and makes me wonder about the security of my data. Heck, after getting fed up, I went to my old CC and submitted my info there since it was all in the district and they could forward it to the school, instead of getting the runaround on the phone (another con).
There was a clunky online collection of materials, which was not helpful at all! There were blatant errors in the lessons, even grammar and spelling mistakes! I'm grateful I didn't waste money on a math class here!
This school will really make you feel like you're at the heart of a bureaucracy. Stiff, unable to move, and encompassed in a bunch of layers of bull before you can get anything done.
Ditch them immediately! Don't talk to anyone on the phone at all, don't go to the offices, don't buy into the hype of them being the largest online college in the nation; dip out and head to a finer, real MCCCD school. Or if you really want to take online classes, apply for ASU and take classes online.
I should add one overlooked positive about this school. I took my courses all on my iPad and wireless keyboard! It was pretty easy to use, and I didn't run any incompatibilites.
