If I could give zero stars I would. Let me start off by saying I have been here 3/4 other times and the service has been good. However I went yesterday 3/8/2018 and has the worst experience ever. I had scheduled a full highlight two weeks ago with a Phase 2 Student for 10:15am. I had an event scheduled for last night and this weekend, so I took the day off of work just to get my hair done. I checked in at the front desk for my appointment and was told to go ahead and take a seat. Then I proceeded to sit and sit and sit and sit some more until it was an hour past my appointment time. I finally went back up to the front desk and asked how much longer it was going to be. They fumbled around on their computer claiming to not be able to find me and blah blah blah. Then when they finally did they informed me that the student I was paired with had a schedule change... WTF. Why wouldn't you have told me that when I checked in??? So the receptionist says I'll try and find a Phase 1 Student to do your service. (which i didn't want). But it seemed I had no choice. So about fifteen mins later they take me back.
They did my consultation (which they always do). And all i was in for was a full highlight. That was it. Nothing special. Just some blonde highlights. I have my hair done probably every 4-6 weeks and I have NEVER had an issue with a salon refusing to do my hair until yesterday. The team leader came over and asked to do a test strand. So I said fine. That's a ten minute process. So I am now an hour and a half past my appt time. And I haven't even started. So after ten mins he comes back and informs me that my hair is too "gummy" and they won't be able to do the highlights. That I will need to do a conditioning treatment and I can come back in 4-6 weeks!!!!!! What?!?!?! I have never had a stylist say that about my hair. Ever. So I now have wasted an hour and a half of my time and it's now noon on the weekend. Chances of getting into another salon are pretty slim. I left very angry and pissed. Called 20 other salons and no one could get me in last minute. So my last resort was to buy a diy highlight kit with a pull through cap. Which I did. And I turned out great. But thank you Paul Mitchell school
For screwing me over royally. I will never be back. And hope others don't go as well.
