| - The tapas were excellent, particularly the stuffed dates, gambas, scallops, mushroom-machego risotto.. Was so excited for the Jamon Serrano, only to turn out to be a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. I've had Jamon Serrano, iberico, Jabugo, pata negra, etc from restaurants and delis all over the world, including that huge meat market in Barcelona. So I know how it's suppose to taste like. Sadly it had the consistency of sandpaper, dry as a desert, and absolutely tasteless. I kept chasing after that saltiness. We let the waiter know, and for the price range of the restaurant we were expecting to either get a better batch, a complimentary desert, or to take it off our tab. SOMETHING. However our input was shrugged off by our waiter. We asked if it came from Spain and he said he wasn't sure. So we no longer ordered the pata negra since it was incredibly pricey and was now skeptical of the quality. However service is very fast which was great. I just wish they had better quality Jamon, as that is what is sought out for when in Spain or in Spanish restaurants. 3 stars because there's no 3 1/2. Will still return, but will avoid the Jamon. Also, I don't understand why tapas are only found in "fine dining" places.. If u know of local cheap places please let me know. Traditionally they're very casual, found in every street corner in Spain. Absolutely no frills.
