| - I came here with Kelly C. and a couple of other friends with a Groupon for a wine tasting for 8 wines. We had to sign up for the tasting and tour at the front desk, which are held every 30-45 minutes.
The space the vineyards is on is wonderful. It's beautiful land and we came on a perfect day. There are horses in the vineyards, corn hole, a tree house you can go up and look out over the vineyard, and the tasting is held on an open patio. I enjoyed hearing about how each of the wines are named, and the tour at the end how it is made, and how it has developed over time.
But I'm sorry, I was just not a fan of the actual wine. And isn't that the point? I'm more of a dry wine, and all of the wines were so sweet. They don't make the dry wines at the vineyard just yet, they have those shipped in, so they weren't really the focal point of the tasting.
I can see going, and enjoying the wine on a Summer night sitting around the fire pit in a rocking chair listening to music. It could be a lot of fun. Just remember to eat beforehand and be prepared to drink sweets all night.
