  • The reason they are getting One Star !! Is because someone called and took advantage of my mother back in 2007 to purchase the following ; "COOLING MAINTENANCE PLAN" and a "HEATING MAINTENANCE PLAN"... What thieves !!! What this 'plan' provides customers with, is a once a year visit to check on your 'heating and cooling system' just for you all, thats a total of $240 PER YEAR before taxes, I just called to see what the heck was going on with this because Im going through a list of bills, Thank Goodness I was, because otherwise I wouldn't have known that they haven't come to 'check up on these services' SINCE 2007. SO what does that mean ? That DIRECT ENERGY has basically taken over $1000.00 from us ... for ... NOTHING. Its not like the company CALLS and asks you if you want you annual check up done... nothing, they just quietly take money from your account every month ... without providing service. I mean... in 5 years... they couldn't call ONCE and see if they could come in and do the service that we were paying them for ? Of course not... that would prbly be the good and honest thing to do ... My advice... be careful what you sign up for with DIRECT ENERGY .... because any honest company, they are more than happy to take your money without providing you a service.
