  • I was a customer at polished for four years, NEVER AGAIN! I should say that when I first started going they were great. The nail techs that I went to did a fine job and their prices were reasonable. They never had great customer service but I was willing to look past that because my nails looked great and they lasted. My first problem started over how much they gossip about their customers. This was over a year ago, but the owner was actually talking about me, and my car, to the girl sitting next to her. I finally called her out and told her that she could say whatever it was in English. They were talking about how I could afford my car. I stopped going for a while but gave them a second chance because I missed the quality. The next problem was with my husband. He had a terrible pedicure and ended up getting an infection in his toe that he is still dealing with. The girl at the front desk asked that I text her a picture, which I did, that she would send to the owner, however I never heard anything back. Another consistent problem I had was pricing. Every time I asked that they front desk read back to me what my nail tech had written on the ticket, it was incorrect, and had I not caught it, I would have ended up over paying. I wonder how many times I forgot to ask and was overcharged. The final straw for me was my most recent visit. There are a few women who do a great job, however the one that I usually go to was no longer with the company so they put with someone who obviously had no idea what they were doing. My nails looked terrible half way through the appointment, even after I repeatedly asked the tech to fix them. When I got to the front I showed the girl how terrible they looked and she offered to have them fixed, however I didn't have time. There was no offer to refund the money I had paid, or to charge me a reduced rate. When I got outside and saw that they looked ever worse in daylight I called back and got the owners son on the phone. He was out of control rude and demanded that I email a picture or there would be no fixing my nails, even though they had just seen them. I turned around and went back to talk to the owner, Big Kim. She was fine about it, let me know that they could be fixed, and was sorry that I wasn't happy. I was happy with her response until her husband came out. She told him that he needed to get the guy at the front desk under control, that there had been multiple complaints. I then said that he acted like I was the one being rude and told me he was call me back when I "calmed down", the problem was that I wasn't being rude, or upset, he just had no idea how to deal with someone who wasn't responding exactly how he wanted. At this point the owner, Wes, threw a full blown temper tantrum. A full grown old man acting like a child. It was unbelievable. I decided that I wouldn't be returning for the rest of my appointments even though I had credits on my account. There are way to many other GREAT nail salons now that there is no reason to continue with polished. On a side note, at one point they were advertising that the owners were opening a private gun club. My husband and I were very interested, went and toured the facility, and wanted to sign up. The problem was that Wes was asking for a significant amount of money (1000-2000$) and had no idea when they would open. I followed up a few times and there still was no date, but I became very suspicious of giving Polished any money via credit purchase based on the way he handled the gun club business. They just aren't trustworthy.
