  • Luckily this park was on our route from Pittsburgh to Cleveland. I would've been kinda bummed if I went out of my way for this "National Park". Not to sound like a complete National Park snob, but this one doesn't seem to fit in with the 25 others I've visited to date. Don't get me wrong, it's really lovely, very pretty, and has a decent waterfall named Brandywine, it's just small(er) and doesn't have the wildlife and "wow" factor I'm used to in the NPS. It's a pretty easy pathed and wooden board trail to the falls. Getting to the lower view point does require steps, so those are obviously not accessible to strollers and wheelchairs. There are three decks...lower, middle and upper. It won't take you long to hop on over to all, so give it a go. Obviously they all offer slightly different perspective and photo ops. You can also go off trail and make your way to the base which is kinda cool, but can be slippery after a rainfall, so watch out, and watch the littles. Perhaps bring a suit for the kiddos in the summertime so they can splash around. I always recommend Keens or some other type of water to ground shoe for this. Free parking. Free entrance. Totally worth a visit if you're nearby. Not worth a journey out just for this. Glad I crossed it off of my National Park list though! Sorry, Cuyahoga *Located just 30 minutes or so from Cleveland. Went hand in hand with our second trip to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Can easily do both in a day! Thank
