Diamond threatened me that if I did not buy more points from them they would double my maintenance fees in the next couple of years which they did Originally bought timeshare from Monarch in the 90's. Fees stayed relatively affordable and I was working. Now I am on SSDI and have no disposable income and cannot use my points. I have tried to surrender and provided proof of income (below poverty level) and although they will allow some to surrender, they are not allowing me to claiming my recent tax records are not good enough proof of income. I have been in contact with Keisha White & Kaitlin Gray several times over the past month, both email and phone. I have witnesses to prove the sales rep at Diamond threatened me with double maintenance fees which they are now charging me for a timeshare I cannot even use (I have no family in this country who could use it either). This feels coercive and illegal, and is definitely unethical. I am a disabled senior.
