| - OMFG. The best Thai food I have EVER had! In Vegas, who knew?!
We came here with a large group so we tried several dishes. First off, service is really great and friendly. Our server made a lot of great suggestions and had no problem answering our questions about dishes. We had the deep-fried garlic prawns, khao soi (curry noodle dish), sai oua (sausage), red and green chili dips, kang hung lay (beef stew), crispy duck with panang sauce, sea bass with ginger, pad thai, and some sticky rice.
The prawns were superb, deep-fried but not greasy at all and the batter has some great seasoning. For me the khao soi was the standout dish, everyone loved it and by the end of the meal people were spooning up the curry sauce to eat over rice because it was so good. I also highly recommend the chili dips. The green chili was my favorite and reminded me of Mexican green chili because it came with tiny little pork rinds to eat with it. The sai oua had a great flavor. When you bring it up to your mouth to eat it, you can catch a whiff of the aromatics it's spiced with. I also really enjoyed the crispy duck and the sea bass was perfectly cooked and tender. I really enjoyed my meal here. And dessert was fantastic as well. I highly suggest getting the combo desert plate which comes with crispy fried bananas (they look like fried spring rolls with banana inside instead of veggies) and coconut ice cream over sticky rice. Heavenly.
If you come here and are overwhelmed by the expansive menu, I would highly recommend being adventurous and ordering mainly off the Northern Thai and Chef's Choice menus. Parking is plentiful, and because there are quite a few bars and clubs in the immediate area, grabbing a cab back to the Strip is not very difficult. I highly recommend making a reservation because there seems to be a serious wait otherwise. Definitely worth the 2 mile trip off the Strip for great quality That cuisine. The hype is all true!
