I'm a Marriott platinum member. This is a decent enough hotel to stay in (staff were all very pleasant), especially if you are in the east side of a Toronto. My main concern with the hotel was the wifi. Whoever did the implementation did a horrible job. The Cisco APs were broadcasting on channels 2,8, and 10 (instead of 1,6,11) In addition, there is simply not enough wifi capacity for a hotel of this size. I was on the 14th floor and could only see 3 APs in the air. On a call with technical support they also agreed that there was not enough APs to handle this hotel. I had a signal of -88 and noise was -90. Sorry but an SNR of 2 is simply not acceptable in a Marriott brand hotel.
So feel free to stay here, but don't expect to get reliable internet coverage. If you are a business person who expects to do business while in room, stay elsewhere.
