| - I went here last Saturday, I was visiting from out of town for a wedding and I was part of a bridal party. First off, this review is in no way trying to blast a business, this is just my honest experience.
Pros-
1. Sherry, I think that's her name did mine and two others nails. She's a very friendly lady, very nice and will go the extra mile to make you happy. For example, she helped find my cigarette and lighter out of my purse, walked with me outside and lit my cigarette for me after my manicure. Because I got my pedicure after my mani, Sherry helped me out of my boots, rolled up my pant legs and rolled my socks nicely and put away before helping me onto the chair. I love when businesses go above and beyond for their clients.
2. The waiting area is decorated beautifully, you could walk in there and feel very relaxed.
Cons-
1. The space where we had our nails done feels like a fluke, you go from a real pretty waiting area to a very unorganized work space for Sherry. She kept knocking things over to try to get around. There was a pretty mat wrapped around the wall, which I had completed Sherry on, because I used to help my Grandma weave mats, but she told me that it's to cover all the plumbing totally didn't need to know that?.
2. Bridesmaid #1 was soaking her feet while Sherry started on my manicure, I had doubts that the tools were sterilized, I'm used to my nail technician opening tools out of a sealed bag right before my eyes. So she puts a towel down, put a bowl of water on top of it for me to soak my nails, when she took the bowl away, I saw all this hair on the towel. I brought it up to her but she laughed and said it's her hair because it was blonde( I get grossed out when someone else's hair touches me). So she took the towel away and replaced with an old raggedy one that's supposedly from a drawer of clean towels. Hold on, this gets better. So she does my nails and her painting skills is not the best, I even joked on the way home that I could've paid my 13yr niece and she'd do a better job. Once again, this is not an attack on Sherry, but my experience altogether. I chipped two of my nails twice, instead of taking off everything and start again, she kept painting over and over one of my nails, it was so thick, even my husband was wondering why I even paid. Hate to say this, but this ranked as my worst manicure.
3. It's now time for my pedicure. I get on the chair and I feel like I almost knocked it over, this is after Sherry's knocked her chairs over a couple of times she turns on the water and I see oil residue in the water. At this point, I'm just ready to get this over with. Now, my pedicure was way better than my mani, but it's winter, nobody's gonna look at your toes, your nails are the main attraction.
4. Bridesmaids #1 ended up just getting her toes done and it looked worse than mine, the painting looked so elementary-ish, I don't know if Sherry was having an off day, but I know she was kind of all over the place. People kept coming in to ask her questions, she answers her cellphone(I think it was the acting business phone too).
5. Man of honor(3rd person to get nails done) came to get his pedi while she was finishing with mine. I sat there and chat with him while she was doing his pedicure, she never really told him she was done, she got up to answer her phone and never came back. We sat there waiting and then just figured she was done, got up, gathered our things and went to meet up with bride and the rest of our party in the waiting area.
*As we were getting off our chairs, the one I wasn't on made a loud squeaking sound and a board fell off the side I can't even make this up.
6. They are pretty pricey for the services being offered, trust me, I've gotten a manicure with beautiful designs, more relaxed and cleaner environment than this place. We were advised beforehand to each give $20 tips, so I paid $75 for a service that I was not happy about, however, I would've happily given it to Sherry because of how nice she was.
7. Other members of our party complained about the services they had, but Sherry kept saying things were broken and need repair.
My advice, this place has potential, even if you need to close down the business for a few days to fix things, that's what should be done. Would I go back there? I don't think so, but, I would buy Sherry a drink if I ever see her at a bar. Do you see how conflicted I am about this review? I like the lady, but wasn't satisfied with my nails
