Had a very early Saturday morning tee time at Shawnee Hills. The course is fairly forgiving with relatively wide and open fairways and little water with the exception of a number of creeks that can be an annoyance. The back nine seemed significantly tougher than the front nine.
As far as amenities, there is a driving range, a small pro shop, and a grill that was already closed for the season. Peeking inside the window the grill seemed more than just an afterthought, so it has some potential. They have a sign on the 9th tee for call-ahead ordering.
As far as the course, I thought Shawnee was pretty solid, but a little below Gleneagles and a step behind Manakiki.
