| - Bouchon is one of my to-go spots when I'm in Vegas.
The food, the ambiance, and service has been consistently good. And while I know there will never be a substitution for sitting in a bistro in Paris at midnight and enjoying a cafe, there are alternatives and this spot does it for me each and every time.
This most recent visit afforded me a breakfast stop before I headed out to Valley of Fire.
I sat at one of the high tables across from the bar and ordered: Eggs Benedict, coffee, and for desert, their Crème Brûlée. During the course of my meal, my coffee (very delicious) was topped off numerous times and they brought over the Pain D'Epi, a bread so simple yet amazingly soft with a crunchy exterior, I died and went to heaven.
I am not a Benedict fan because most of the places I have ordered from use the traditional ham which is dry, salty, and tasteless. Bouchon uses Hobb's smoked pork loin, which almost looks like shaved meat but it was so tender, savory that the combination of all of the flavors was amazing from the first bite to the last. It came accompanied with a large frisée salad.
Overall, I am consistently pleased with my experiences here as they are always on point with the service, food, and ambiance. My annual Paris visits are kept alive during the off-months with dropping in at Bouchon :)
