It was my only bad experience with Hertz.
I am a Hertz Gold member and have rented from Hertz more than 5 times this year.
When I arrived at this Hertz location, I was told that my reservation was cancelled. No reason, no explanation about who did it, just cancelled. I waited for at least 40 minutes to try to re-open a reservation and match the original rental rate.
When I returned the car the next day, I got my receipt with CAD 25.71 as total due. However, the final amount on my credit card was USD 46.20 (CAD 53.62). I called Hertz and they said it was a penalty for driving too many miles.
