  • Visited with a group of friends on a Friday evening. This was my first meal Uptown since I first moved to Charlotte two months ago. I ended up getting the chicken tender meal with collards and mac, all of which was just okay. The tenders were small and a bit dry. I probably should have known better and gone with a different protein. Collards were a bit under seasoned. Mac was standard. The real star of the meal was the cornbread. I will go back and try a few other things. Restaurant has cool atmosphere and service was on point. Plus, the location is really convenient to the square and the transit center. Not a bad option at all.
