| - Horrendous, detestable service or the lack thereof...!
Presuming this would be good place to relax on a Friday afternoon, based upon a recommendation a friend provided me, my 7.5 month pregnant fiancé and I visited La Casa Narcisi Winery on Friday, June 15th, 2012. We were seated in a section without a server.
Having driven 45 minutes up Route 8, in rush hour traffic and out of our way mind you, we were highly disappointed in their ability to seat and service us properly.
We hadn't been served a glass of water or been greeted by a server. After 25 minutes of waiting and eventually laughing in reference to their servers ignoring us, my pregnant fiancé and I, at that point parched, rose up out of our chairs, deciding that we had enough of waiting. I walked into the front office and asked for the general manager (doesn't seem to exist, so beware if you ask for him / her). The desk people looked at me as if I were speaking Greek. I explained to them what had occurred and they looked at each other baffled, as if they were unaware of what step to take.
Angered, I called back to explain the situation and to find out if they were wiling to compensate me for our troubles. The kitchen manager was apologetic (have no idea why he had called in lieu of a GM), also failing to understand why this occurred, which goes to show me there are no processes defined within their customer service. Additionally, he had promised to send us vouchers for a meal, however, we never received them and this IS the reason for my negative review.
Ironically, we were attempting to kill two birds with one stone, by asking them for permission to view their facility for our wedding dinner party, as it's spacious. However, in hindsight I'm elated we never went down that path.
Let me be honest, I don't want the vouchers, but for your sake, AVOID La Casa Narcisi Winery. It's not what you think from the outside and the service is atrocious.
