  • I have taken my dog here for a couple of emergencies in the past, & I loved this place! But, our recent visit was a huge disappointment. My dog started limping & would not put any weight on her foot. Our regular vet was closed, so I went to 1st Pets because they have been so great in the past. When we walked in, there were 2 people in the waiting room, & the front desk said it would be. 2-3 hour wait. OK-that's fine-I understand a hurt paw may not be as urgent as another animal who is truly sick. A vet tech came out to the waiting room, & looked at her paw. He recognized she was in pain & her foot was swollen. I asked about taking an x-ray, & I was informed a vet had to order it. After about an hour & a half, we are moved to a room to wait for the vet. While sitting in that room, we had 3 different people come in & tell us, "You guys are next!" We waited another 2 hours in that room without a vet coming in. While sitting in there, I can hear what's going on in the back. There was a lot of chatting about weekend plans, laughing, joking around, & somebody asking, "who wants this last slice of pizza?" Um-it sounds like you're having a party back there-why has a vet not come in this room yet to just look at her & order an image of my dog or something?! After 3 1/2 hours of waiting, we left. I went to the front desk & informed them we were leaving, & all I hear is, "OK-sorry about that-have a great night!" Um, no-my dog is still in pain, so it won't be a good night. I am beyond disappointed with the service we received here. Thank you for your help in the past, but based on this experience, we will not be back again.
