  • From now on my business goes to Lowe's. Both offer a military discount of 10%. As a veteran who served my country over 20 years including two tours of duty, I appreciate the discount. Lowe's always gives a full 10%, even on clearance items. On a recent trip to Home Depot I spent $298 on roofing shingles, nails, tar paper, etc. I was given a $2.08 discount. I inquired why not a $29.80 discount as advertised and was rudely told by the Manager that the discount only applies to certain items. I explained that is not what they advertise and I have never had this issue before and Lowe's always gives full 10%. He told me then "go to Lowe's." I will certainly follow Home Depot Management's advice and take my business elsewhere.
