| - This has been, by far, the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.
Pro-
Buffet- crepe station had a very sweet lady who made pretty good crepes.
Cons-
1) The resort fee was applied and yet we were not ale to use any of the 'resort perks'. For one, we had to pay an additional pool fee. I was told we had to pay an additional fee because there was some DJ that day. Shouldn't the hotel be responsible for paying for 'extra' things like DJs once the consumer has paid a resort fee? Otherwise, that does that resort fee I pay go towards?
2) The resort fee also includes WiFi. However, at no point did the Flamingo 'turn on the wifi' for my room. I spent the better part of an hour having the tech department trying to figure out why I was not able to connect to the internet, over the phone. In the end the woman I was talking to had to manually connect my one phone by sending the WiFi to it. I went to bed and woke up in the morning to check into my flight and, surprise, surprise, the WIFi was not working. Again.
Paying for services that are not provided is the worst type of stealing a large company can do to a consumer.
3) The rooms are not clean. When we arrived my husband took his shoes off to hop into the shower and as he stepped away from his shoe he stopped into a piece of glass. Seriously, glass.
When I jumped into the shower I saw hair in the tub. I had to shower because we had plans but this is disgusting. I rinsed the shower and hopped in with my sandals.
As I was about to pull the curtain to close it, three small, WET, towels fell from the towel rod. We had just checked in and hadn't used the bathroom- those were NOT our towels.
After what felt like I had bugs crawling over my skin (because the shower was so gross), I got out and tried to brush my teeth. As I reached over to get a glass of water to brunch my teeth with, I noticed that the glasses on the sink were all dirty. They had what appeared to be water stains on them. Both glasses seemed used.
And folks, there's more. The next morning, we requested the room to be cleaned and when we arrived, my husband took his shoes off on the bed to walk over to the closet to change into an other pair. Guess what he stepped on, again? An even larger piece of glass. So, for the second time in less than 24 hours, we had to check the floor for glass.
Lastly, aesthetically speaking, the rooms are not modern (pretty sure they haven't updated the rooms since the early 90s). The wall paper all over bathroom was peeling, there were water and mold marks on the ceiling. The clothes line in the shower was broken and came off the wall.
Honestly, dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at.
4) The buffet- though Vegas is not known to be a 'foodie' town this buffet was not good. The food was bland and the selection was not the greatest on the strip. They had crab legs so there's that but in my book crab legs don't make up for all the other gross food.
5) Hilton properties should be embarrassed to have this be a representation of their brand on the LV strip.
I stayed here during the chaos that was the 'big fight' in August 2017 and can guess that all hotels might have had hiccups similar to this. However, this should have been an opportunity for the Flamingo to truly showcase themselves as an option for travelers coming to Las Vegas. Unfortunately, not only was there no attempt at positioning themselves as a 'destination on the strip' they couldn't even get simple, run of the mill hotel operations right.
Won't be staying here again and I don't recommend you stay here either.
