I guess I had higher expectations based on the reviews.
I was disappointed to learn Parliament didn't have any speciality drinks -- a must for coffee shops trying to stand out in an area already saturated with coffee -- so I got a mocha with almond milk. It wasn't anything special.
I also got what I think I remember was a peach cinnamon roll or something of the like. Again, didn't blow me away or anything.
Worst of all, the WiFi was completely unreliable for both my friend and me hoping to get some work done, so we went somewhere else. What kind of coffee shop doesn't have working WiFi?
The atmosphere is alright but could be cooler -- they should make better use of the lit-up Parliament sign.
I guess the redeeming aspects of my visit was the lack of bad coffee, mason jars of water and super nice barista. But is this enough to warrant my return? Probably not.
