This certainly is not your typical corporate training facility. It is HUGE, with interesting decoration... and they feed you breakfast and lunch (with vegetarian options). If your work is willing to send you, by all means go.
Plan on getting there at least a half hour early. It will take you 15 minutes once you park to find your training room and walk to it.. the place is huge. There are so many people going to EPIC that there is bad traffic on the surrounding rural routes.... which also adds time. There's breakfast available too, and you want time to eat.
I would be careful going here in winter. I have to wonder who plows the snow on these rural roads in winter ? I grew up about three hours from here, and a good snowfall can make driving treacherous.... or impassible/dangerous for someone who doesn't know how to drive in snow & ice. But many of the hotels provide shuttles to EPIC and to the airport... there's not a whole lot of reason to rent a car-- especially in winter.
The trainings are good . They give you printed material that covers almost all of what is taught. Not knowing EPIC at all, it was a little rough in some places. You do not need to bring a laptop, but if you do they have wifi. They have coffee/tea available all day. I really wish I'd packed a sweater, the place was air conditioned down to about 72 in August.
Your cell phone will not work here, it is a dead zone.
