I have a sony Vaio computer not even 2 years old yet. It costed me almost $1,200. My laptop I was using only at home, it was located on the table and I cared for it so much that after being almost 2 years old it LOOKS LIKE BRAND NEW.
I then purchased the cover for the keyboard and after some time It stained the LCD screen. I was shocked and upset but thought that maybe it was my mistake, so I kept using the keyboard cover, after some time it stained again!!!! So at this point I know it wasn't my mistake!!!!!!
Also after that one day I opened the top of the laptop and it looked like the side where is the disk was splitting in 2 parts. Again I was sooo shocked .
Computer is not 2 years old yet. The service person told me that I dropped it. Which I know that I didn't and at this point it tells me alot about the QUALITY of the product!!!!
So I went to the Vaio store and decided to send it to the Sony VAIO Service center.
2 days later I received this message on my e-mail:
""DEFECTIVE HARD DRIVE AND DAMAGED BOTTOM BASE; The estimated charge for your repair will be $317.99 plus applicable taxes.
Our technicians have also determined you have a DAMAGED LCD , if you are wanting this item(s) replaced it will be an additional $433.00 to your original repair estimate.""
They charged me $ 99.99 for it to be diagnosed and after that they wanted to charge additional $750, so it comes up to $850, where the BRAND NEW computer would cost me around that price.
Don't do my mistake, don't send your computer to VAIO SERVICE CENTER. IT IS A RIP OFF!!!!!!
Also my next computer is not going to be VAIO, they lost me as a customer. The product went bad after not being 2 years old!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quality is not good!!!!!
