Amazing customer service!
I went in last night to have my iPhone 5s checked out--a couple of things had happened to it recently that would have normally been part of the accidental coverage for Applecare+.
I've been an Apple user for 5+ years, and this interaction was just as great as all of the other ones that I have had. The Genius was funny and personable, and took the time to understand what was going on with my phone. After doing a visual inspection on the phone, the genius decided that there was a slight bend in the enclosure, and took care of the replacement for free rather than have me pay the $79 to have it replaced under AppleCare.
I was totally ready to pay the fee, but having that kind of courtesy extended definitely made my night, and continues to solidify my brand loyalty. Thanks!
